Miami is interesting. You can tell that it used to be pumping back in the hey-day, when Art-Deco was all the rage. The buildings are still pretty delightful in their pastel glory. Coming from Australian beach culture.. it was hard to grasp the idea of "dressing up" for the beach - full face of makeup, bejazzled bikinis, beach wedges, glittery kaftan + beach jewelry - Debbie and I definitely failed in this department. It is also surprisingly hard to buy bikinis here - as 90% are of not of a butt covering agenda, they are mostly near thong like - and we had not done our holiday squats.
Had lunch at Big Pink restaurant/diner - gorged on local delicacies such as Taco Salad and Chilli Fries - Life was good.
Dinner was Haitain flavoured at Tap Tap Haitian Restaurant - delicious. Highly recommend the "Kribish Nan Sos Kokoye - Shrim in coconot sauce" and "Pwason Gwosel - Whole fish in lime sauce".
Partied at the Clevelander, where we purchased ridiculous priced drank, and enjoyed the magical Miami sounds of Pitbull on a Miami Southbeach Rooftop. Ballin.
Not many photos for today - was waaay to tired.
Food devoured that day: Big Pink Restaurant & Tap Tap Haitian Restaurant, South Beach.
