HongKong&NewYork - Day1&2

Just recently came back from a trip to the USA, where I dabbled in and around New York, Miami and the Caribbean with a cool ass chick known as Debbie Chia! - needless to say it was a good time.

I indulged in a morning layover into Hong Kong where I met with my Aunty, her husband and my adorable little cousin for a quick Yum Cha for breakfast and a spot of shopping before I had to rush back to the airport and hop on to a 15hour flight to New York - not before consuming a bowl of ramen of course.

P.s The Hong Kong airport is amazing... it has a ZARA.. what?!

The 15hour flight to New York was actually a breeze, and the views out the window were absolutely breathtaking, especially over Northern Canada.

Arriving in NewYork I was greeted with a gloomy first day of pouring rain and cold cold weather! So for my first outing, we took to the MET... after a glorious feeding at Sarabeths (can't stress the importance of devouring their muffins with their house jams!), and then spent the day strolling down 5th Avenue - getting stuck in the time warp that is ZARA - and perusing EATALY .... a huge regret of the trip was not managing to eat anything from there :(.. not even the gelato - which I hear is amazing.

Highlight of the day: Strolling along Central Park, only to be stopped by MoPain to receive his demo CD - he offered to sign it... but we had already started walking away, guess I'll be kicking myself when he's the next 2Chains.

Food devoured that day: Sarabeths on the Upper West Side, Piccolo, La Paella East Village.
